This quiet, sheltered rest area in the forest at Liasand was the first rest area to be completed along Norwegian Scenic Routes.
This rest area was opened in 1997. After 25 years with many visitors, the rest area has seen significant wear and tear and needs an upgrade.
Liasand is closed due to heavy wear and tear, and a need for renovation of the toilet and outdoor facilities.
Will be reopened in June 2024. We regret the inconvenience this may cause.
