If you head out to the coastal path at Vevang, you will see several pieces of a white columnar shape that meander along the coastal rock, into ponds and between small heath-covered hills. The marble sculpture is created by artist Jan Freuchen, and it is called Columna Transatlantica, or the Transatlantic Column. The sculpture gives associations to toppled Greek columns, or perhaps the Midgard serpent (a sea serpent Norse mythology).
