The toilet facilities are open from early May to late October. Emptying toilets from motorhomes and caravans is not permitted.

The service building at Hereiane, located between Svåsand and Herand in the Hardanger region, is one of the most spectacular of its kind in Norway.

The service building in the area is unique, combining old construction techniques, such as slate, with concrete and glass in strong colours. The rest area at Hereiane is located on the Folgefonn peninsula in an area where ice-scoured rocks and twisted pine trees reach from the fjord all the way up to the mountain peaks.
