The toilet facilities are open from early March to early December. Emptying toilets from motorhomes and caravans is not permitted.

The plain buildings in the gorge are designed in an industrial construction style to embody the story of the mines.

The Allmannajuvet zinc mines are a disused mining works in Sauda. The mines were in operation from 1881 to 1899.During these years a total of 12,000 tonnes of zinc ore were extracted. Today, the mining area is a museum. The installation consists of a gallery, a café building, toilet and parking facilities, paths and stairs.

The café and gallery at Allmannajuvet is open 20 June - 14 August from 10:00-17:00. You may take part in a guided tour along the mining road and into the mine every day during the tourist season, at 11:00, 13:00 and 15:00. Sign up at the café or send a message on facebook.com/saudaferie the day before. You will be provided with a helmet and a torch. You should wear good shoes. The guide speaks English and Norwegian and the tour takes about 1.5 hours. Admission: Adults NOK 170. Children NOK 120. Family (2+2) NOK 450.
